Erica, a Missouri native, started her career in journalism before moving to Richmond, Virginia. Prior to joining Startup Virginia, Erica worked for the Better Housing Coalition, Richmond's largest nonprofit community development corporation. In past roles, Erica taught publication design at the University of Missouri's School of Journalism, was Design Editor of The Missourian newspaper, and produced graphic design work for the Center for American Progress, True/False Film Fest, and various publications. In her current role, Erica communicates Startup Virginia's impact on the entrepreneurial community and shares the successes of its member startups.
