What does a typical day look like for you?
- Step 1: Prep and take my daughter to day-care
- Step 2: Work on a problem-driven, science-enabled startup team. We’re concurrently focused on describing the customer’s problems while refining our technology platform. Primarily focused on sleep medicine. Much of our early work is done in collaboration with federal and academic research labs, with the goal of delivering rapid and remote virtual care by supporting commercial sleep clinics.
- Step 3: Retrieve my daughter and teach her how to do everything better and faster than me!
- Step 4: GO TO SLEEP! If you don’t recover you don’t perform.
What inspired you to start your company?
Too many people experience solvable problems related to remote monitoring of their health. Research labs are filled with potential solutions, but need agile, focused, and patient champions to lead their deployment.
Sleep disorder prevalence: 85% military servicemembers, half of Alzheimer’s patients, 1/3 of Americans over 65, between 40-140 million American adults depending on disorder and severity. We all need to sleep, but many of us are bad at it. Particularly challenging to improve when we’re unconscious and have poor sleep state recall.
