Director of Startup Growth

Richmond, VA (October 8, 2018) — Startup Virginia (SVA) announced today that Noelle James has joined the incubator as the Director of Startup Growth.  Noelle will be responsible for achieving SVA’s primary goal of helping startup founders grow faster and smarter than they would on their own.

“Noelle’s professional background coupled with her desire to foster growth within the startup community made her an ideal match for SVA,” said Richard Wintsch, executive director Startup Virginia.

Noelle comes to SVA from Christian & Barton where she was special counsel in the firm’s Intellectual Property, Business Organizations and Corporations, and Municipal Governance and Public Sector practice groups. Noelle is highly versed in intellectual property and technology matters as well as corporate formation and governance – all areas of expertise that will benefit members of SVA.

“As we evaluated the additional ways to support our current and prospective members, it was clear the role of Director of Startup Growth was a critical need,” said Wintsch. “Thanks to a grant from our friends at Activation Capital, we were able to hire Noelle.”

“I have always enjoyed helping startups navigate the challenges and opportunities they encounter,” said James. “I am excited to join this community and look forward to bringing my experience to Startup Virginia’s efforts.”
